Taylor Swift is a local hero, worthy of praise?

Yes, Taylor Swift is technically from PA; I think we all know the story of how she forced her parents to move her to Nashville at the age of like 12 in anticipation of a huge music career. Nevertheless, I must consider the possibility that she is a local hero; not because of her music, mind you. From the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette:

  • City Controller’s performance audit showed that in 2011, Taylor Swift paid $63,486, while Kenny Chesney forked over $135. U2 paid $26,855. Non-resident entertainers are required to pay a 3 percent fee based on salary.
We all know auditors are (rightfully) thankless whistleblower snitches that no one likes. That said, the PG may have buried the lede here; even though she moved to NASH, doesn't Tay Tay deserve to pay 0 taxes more than recently noted crook Kenny Chesney? All I know is, if I'm running the show in PGH & Kenny chesney wants to come to my town and sing about well-worn blue jeans, car racing & the temperature of his beer on a Friday night, I'm asking for more than $135 for my troubles...
