Mark Madden says the Steelers are a top 2 AFC team RE: qualifying for super bowl 50
Impromptu NFL most likely to win the super bowl power rankings:
1. Steelers: hottest offense in the league; 30+ points in 5 straight games just scaring the AFC. Love 'em or hate 'em, I think it's my duty to tell you to prepare for a possible Pittsburgh super bowl run this autumn.
2. Pats: Madden says Tom Brady supports 'his good friend Donald Trump' and we all know what a loon that guy is. That said you never know what tricks Bill Belecheat will have up his sleeve this holiday season; got to give NE credit for SB50 potential where credit is due
3. NY Giants: at once both 6-7 and a team that basically finds itself in playoff pole position; Big Blue is uniquely designed to defeat the New England Deflatriots; and after a stairway to 7th Stillers super bowl, is there any 2015 outcome funnier than the Deflats losing a super bowl to Eli for a 3rd time?
4. Carolina Panthers: $CAM is the hottest player in the league. Per a shareable image on FB, Cam has given away 46 NFL game balls to fans as part of his TD celebrations in his career. Hilarious. Didn't Heinz Ward used to pull the exact same routine without reproach?
5. Bronco's: Jury's still out on Bronck Osweiler; that being said the D looks like the real deal. Have to get thru a buzzsaw AFC bracket consisting of a Steelers team with no secondary and a Patriots outfit who due to injury is relying on cheating more than ever. Can't count out John Elway's squad however we should note; he did lose a fortune on the business concept of "upscale laundromats". Can't win em all John
Unlikely to win due to employing a BENGALS Qb:
CIN, ARZ: Pretty sure no one's ever won the Super bowl with a Bengal running the show...
Honorable Mention: JAGS
Gus Bradley has this upstart Jacksonville team playing like they mean it in the knockdown dragout AFC south. It's winner take all and following last week's shellacking of an overrated IND colts team; I think you have to look out for the upstart JAGS in the AFC playoff picture. Jacksonville's success is, in some ways, a referendum on how terribly CLE is run.
Are you old enough to remember the "drive" where the Baltimore Ravens (neƩ CLE Browns) were defeated by a John Elway TD drive?
