I had the pleasure of getting lunch at Lydiah's Coffee House no more than 20 hours ago, and I just feel like I have to share more information with the good-looking & intelligent readers of Downtown Email Brown
MENU
Did you know that you could find authentic Kenyan cuisine mere blocks away from your place of business? From the Post-Gazette's food critic:
- " Sources confirm that Lydiah's is, in fact, "really good." "Really good" might be a bit of an understatement. It might even be one of the best lunches you can get Downtown."

~Sources~ can also confirm that the menu could not be easier to understand even if you were a clueless maroon! Lydiah prepares exactly one lunch entrée per day - plus a bonus vegan option that I have yet to try - which I will power-rank now:
~Sources~ can also confirm that the menu could not be easier to understand even if you were a clueless maroon! Lydiah prepares exactly one lunch entrée per day - plus a bonus vegan option that I have yet to try - which I will power-rank now:
(Tie)1. Monday - Chef's choice - and who better to choose but the Golden triangle's greatest chef, probably of all time?
(Tie)1. Tuesday - Beef tips - simply marvelous. Once was given a bonus helping of Ugali (~basically Polenta) for being such a cooperative consumer
(Tie)1. Wednesday - Curry Chicken and Spinach over Brown Rice (chapati optional +$1.50) - incredible; just when you think Lydiah can't do any better, she knocks your socks off with a curried chicken dish that is practically falling off the bone waiting to get in your tummy. 11/10
(Tie)1. Thursday - Pork tips and curried spaghetti with green beans - MY GOODNESS LYDIAH. Only a veteran chef brain as wily and intelligent as you could come up with a dish that to an uninformed yinzer makes no sense on paper but at the same time makes all the sense in the world as it melts in my mouth. Curried spaghetti and green beans are a 1st ballot HOF-er in the PIttsburgh lunch scene
Not Ranked - Friday - Curried Fish
Stop going to Jimmy Johns, Dave
