More on Cleveland's blight personified by a smokestack belching fire

From ohiocitizen.org:

CLEVELAND — “It may not be Cleveland’s answer to the Olympic Torch, but the iconography of the former LTV Cleveland Works smokestack is hard to ignore…
When Arcelor-Mittal acquired the LTV Cleveland Works in the summer of 2005 from International Steel Group, the environmental group Ohio Citizen Actionand others pushed hard on its management about dangerous airborne contaminants.
The dispersal of coke and furnace gas through the flare stack is known to push particulate magnesium and zinc into the air, which is found nearby in the Tremont and Slavic Village neighborhoods.
Ohio Citizen Action and other area groups have put pressure on Arcelor-Mittal to improve upon poor pollution records by mobilizing neighborhoods, collecting petition signatures and collecting more than 24,000 angry letters from area residents demanding such improvements.”
